Well, I am only a few days away from completing the follow-up WoFO album, Prospice. Stay tuned for samples, purchasing info, ect.

Also, the musical I wrote songs for, 'Fountain of Youth' will be running for two weeks in San Jose this month. Two of the actors appeared on an ABC affiliate show performing one of my songs. Here's a link if you wanna hear/see:

The actors are all great and I am excited to see it in person. Also, I'm cutting a 10-song demo. Look back later for a sample or two.

Prospice, the sophomore Wings of Fire Orchestra release, is hitting the mixing portion. The album will likely be released in Jan of 2009. I am very excited about this album and about completing phase two of the WoFO concept.

'Fountain of Youth' a musical by RC Staab enjoyed a successful reading in San Jose. Feb '09 is the tent. date for the next workshop.

One of my pieces was chosen for the 60X60 project run by Robert Voisey. It's an incredibly unique concert experience and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. You can learn more about it here:

Things are progressing well with both Wofomusic records. I thank all of you who have been inquiring about the progress.

There is one thing bearing far more importance that I'd like to bring attention to ...

Last June a senseless act of murder took place outside of Raleigh, NC. 22 yr old Jenna Nielsen was murdered early one morning while delivering newspapers. She left behind a husband, two young children, and was herself pregnant at the time. If any of you out there have a few bucks to spare, I ask that you send it their way. Jenna was a singer, dancer, pianist, wife, and mother. And though I never knew Jenna, I'd like to see justice served since her killer is still at large.

Aside from finishing the musical I've been working on, two studio albums are also in the works. The companion to Bullfighter Ballet, 'The Wings of Fire Band - Live at the Dixieland' is nearly complete. Also, I've been rehearsing for the sophomore release of The Wings of Fire Orchestra. Some new faces have joined forces with past players for what I think will be one of my best records to date. Both should be out this summer. Check back for updates.

Lastly, 'Welcome to the Show' the opening track of Bullfighter Ballet is currently being featured in the new Meatloaf documentary, Meatloaf: In Search of Paradise. Check it out at a theater near you.

A fruitful year awaits the Rockcomposer. A song cycle, a musical (or two), and a rock record are all due this year. And for those of you are Pflaumbaum music fans from the old school, I'm here to officially confirm that the rumours are true. There will be a Sweet Thursday reunion of sorts in the very near future.

I'm also working on finding a way to record my opus, I, Jeremiah. Who's shoulders are sturdy enough for the endeavor? Maybe 2008 will be the year to find such mortals.

The tracks for The Wings of Fire Band record are in the can. Look for the album to be released sometime in the future.

For fans of The Wings of Fire Orchestra, this record (live record) is the companion to Bullfighter Ballet.

Here are a few new developments:

Two Pflaumbaum songs, C-Town and The Life (of Sigmund Saul) are being used in the upcoming musical, RM3 (written by RC Staab). The musical also features music by Ben Folds.

RC and I are also working on his musical, Fountain of Youth to be completed by years end.

I may also begin work with Mirek Kocandrle on Citizen Hearst written by George Bonin.

-A second Wings of Fire Orchestra record could be in the works soon. I finished writing the second record in December and am now doing edits and adding new material. There have also been some line-up changes that are being finalized.
